The enormous winter project of repowering the Verdict III with 2007 Crusader 5.7L MPI engines has been completed with the hard work of Johnson's Supreme Marine in Ludington, Michigan. 

The work Johnson's performed on the boat is nothing short of outstanding.  The work was completed when promised and the boat was in top notch condition when delivered. 

The adaptation of Crusader engines to the Volvo-based jackshaft drive system was a challenge, but well worth the additional work as the powerplants are best-in-class.  Initial seatrials are still being conducted, but inital performance data indicates that the new power in combination with the new stainless steel Volvo duoprops is an enormous improvement from the original carbuerated Volvo motors and aluminum duoprops.  Time to plane has been significantly reduced, midrange power and throttle response are dramatically improved and the top end speed is over 40 mph.
